Nation, meet SYNKROME, our latest Featured Artist on DubNation.NET. Using Logic and a combination of Ni Massive and Nexus, SYNKROME brings us fat bottomed basslines, heavy drums, and catchy melodies. You’ve probably noticed that our preferred style of dubstep has some melody and a little music theory behind it. Noise for the sake of noise does not make for good listening. SYNKROME brings a good balance of the kind of noise we want to hear and the catchy melodies that make a song get stuck in your head.
Did we mention this one has been stuck in our heads?
Alex Clarenz, aka SYNKROME got his start as a turntablist in Germany, and by playing classical instruments like stringbass and accordion. From 2003 to 2009 he participated in many DJ Battle championships (ITF and IDA) under the name DJ ASPECT (DECKPACKERS CREW). During those years he twice won the German DJ Finals, once the European DJ Finals and placed three times second at the World ITF / IDA Dj Finals. After he had retired from the Battle Scene he started a side project as SYNKROME to produce Electronic Music.
